I also ordered the country fried steak and found it disgusting. It was gigantic but all fried breading with a sliver of paper thin meat somewhere inside. Also, the fries are so salty you could have a coronary on the spot. The burger is good but the bun disintegrates to mush while trying to hold it. I live nearby too and was hoping this place would be better. It's also quite pricey for a sports bar/restaurant.

A friend and I finally got around to trying out Bam Sports Bar. We both live nearby and decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted at the door. EVERYONE, from the time we stepped inside until we left was super friendly and very accommodating. I can't stress enough the superb quality of the staff. Our food was fresh and delicious, ten steps above the usual bar food that you find elsewhere. And the banana pudding is to die for. The bar itself is upscale, clean and trendy!!! Flat screens everywhere.....I cannot wait til football season!! I've found my new hangout!! I liked this place so much, I took my son the next day. Same experience!!! I rarely do reviews..... Love this place!! If you're in Cahaba Heights, stop in!!!

I'll be honest...I was absolutely blown away by this place. For some reason, I came in with low expectations. Top to bottom, it was fantastic. We were served quickly and started with mixed drinks and the Okra Fries app. The single appetizer was plenty for our group of four grown men (this would be a sign of things to come). They came with a remoulade dipping sauce and were dang good (this would be a sign of things to come). For my entree I ordered a large order of wings. Surprisingly, they'd just added wings to the menu. Good decision. I don't recall a time when I couldn't finish an order of wings, but it happened here. They were huge and there were a ton of them. I should have stopped half way through, but they were so good that I forced myself to eat 75%. Everything that everyone got looked amazing and was too big to finish. I can't wait to go back.

Bam sports grill is my new favorite place in town. I've never had a wait, always had good service, and food is top notch. Chicken fingers, burgers, etc all are great. Not to mention all the HDTV's on the wall playing football 24/7. Great place!

I just had lunch here with a few coworkers. It's in the old Yankee Pizzeria spot in Cahaba Heights. It looks completely different though with a central bar set up and TVs lining all the walls. There's also outdoor seating. The menu has a variety of items from big salads, even bigger burgers and wings on steroids!! You can build your burger with your choice of meat and sauce that come with the standard fixings. You can add cheese and toppings for $1 or $2. I ordered the grilled chicken with cajun spicy sauce and it was enough for 2 meals and it sat on a bed of fries. My only complaint is the trays it comes in are a bit small to maneuver around. The side plates are also small, my burger barely fit on it. Men definitely are going to love the portions. Lunches here are a bit pricey but you can always make 2 lunches out of it!

Really enjoyed my time at BAM. When you walk in you smell a slight hint of the wood ovens in the back working away on all the food. We enjoyed a great selection of beers and drinks with some great bartenders. Moved to a table and received optimal service! No rush. Our pace. We ordered and when we got our food it was like we where at some 5 star restaurant, when they put the food down. My Grits and peppers and sausage where presented on a large plate and it looked beautiful. Everyone had ooohs and ahhhhss.. We all left very satisfied and we will be returning!

We had the make your own burger on the back of the menu. "It was to die for" and make sure you add the avocados (they are delicious). Best burger i have had in a very long time. Great atmosphere

My husband and I were in town and after reading the reviews on yelp we bopped in for food and drink. The place smells great. The bartender was slow as molasses. When he finally took our drink order, I ordered a red wine. The wine, which I am familiar with, tasted off. I let the bartender know and he argued with me about it, so I asked him for a beer instead. The beer was very good. The food was just average. Also, we had to wait for any refills on beer. The bar was not that crowded. The bartender kept twirling a towel like it was pizza dough. Very strange.

Really nice place with very good food. We had the grilled chicken sandwich, chicken wrap, and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. All meals were good size and tasty. Only reason for not giving five stars was the poor service. Our waitress had a large party and we got lost in the shuffle. Probably would visit again but hope for a different waitress.

Does Birmingham really need another Sports Bar? YES!! When I can go with my hubby, watch football and enjoy a quality glass of wine, winner. Then you get to the food; great menu and perfectly executed. Bartender was the best! If you like to linger at the bar, eat, drink and watch sports, this is your place to go. Down to food; okra a must. Pork Carnitas delicious. Country Fried steak, wonderful and huge! Ok, BAM, one suggestion... Turn down the lights, WAY too bright. Other than that, BAM is a hit. My new neighborhood sports bar.

I never make negative comments but since I live in this community I think it should be known how poorly this place is run. This restaurant is extremely overpriced for the service you receive. The manager is rude and runs customers off. I watched her escort a family out of the restaurant because they brought their son a birthday cake from "the outside" and said "the owners have cameras and I will get my butt chewed if they see". I was appalled but the conversation and how snappy she was and really made them leave!

Didn't know what to expect. I walked in ordering regular wings. Didn't expect half the chicken. Cool staff, great bartender great food. They have plenty of tv's to watch games on. If ur wife is shopping at the summit, I highly recommend this place for a snack and a cold beverage. A+

I can't believe this is the first review. The food was very good, portion sizes are huge. I had the grilled chicken strips basket and substituted the okra fries for an up barge of $2.00. My husband had the Country Fried Steak and it covered almost the entire plate. So glad to see something new in the neighborhood. We highly recommend this place

Very good. More restaurant than sports bar. Really the best of both. Better than the same old bar food by far and a pretty good selection of craft beer. All in the quaint village of Cahaba Hts. Worth a try.

Food was okay. Service was good. A little overpriced for what you get. The wings are not split. They are a whole wing and are a little dry.

The service is excellent. I wanted the shrimp and grits, but wanted it without the jalapeño stuffing. The staff was extra helpful to make sure I got exactly what I wanted! The atmosphere is fun. They even sell glass bottle sodas:) I enjoyed the fried okra and remoulade and the chili cheese grits. Will definitely be back. The only thing close to negative would be that it can get a little smoky from the wood fired grill. Overall an excellent experience!

Mom & Pop place with a large chain look. I've been here a couple times for lunch and enjoyed everything. On the surface it's a sports bar, but it's really a serious restaurant. Their wings are grilled whole wings. The Habenero Honey Mustard Wings have some serious heat and were like nothing I've tasted before. Also, get the fried okra. They are cut to look like fries and are delicious. Wish they had a website or an online menu, but if you do find them it's well worth it.

Stopped in for a late business lunch. Very cool sports bar atmosphere with a surprisingly interesting menu. I had the chicken nacho burger and is was very good. Waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. I will definitely be back when I have time to grab a beer and watch a ballgame.
